Fatma Kheir
Twenty-nine years of experience in print and digital journalism, radio and
television. Thirteen years of experience as a media trainer and mentor in addition
to experience as a career and leadership coach focused on women’s empowerment
within the media business.
Authored five published non-fiction and fiction books.
She is the lead MENA coach for “Women in News” Program (WAN-IFRA) and
also works as a time management, career planning and self-discovery trainer for
the program as she is a certified leadership coach (ICF) and is also a member of the
International Coaching Federation ICF.
She has been editor-in-chief of many TV programs.
She is the founder of Women for Media Network (WMN); an educational and
guiding network targeting women in media from all ages. She was the first woman
to assume the position of Editor-in-Chief of a news website in Egypt when she
established and headed the website Dream News, as well as the first online
news radio in Egypt “Youm7 radio”. She assumed the position of editorial
development and quality manager at Youm7 newspapers and website – one of the
largest news websites in the Middle East- as well as being one of its founders.
She worked as a lecturer at the College of Media and Communications- Media and
gender subject (ACU).
She has worked as a trainer for the online, print press and TV journalism for
“Sharjah Heritage Institute, “Cairo Media School”, Egyptian Alumni of U.S.A
International Exchange Program and “DW”, Akhbar Al-Youm Center for Training
and Consulting as well – she is a volunteer in many NGOs supporting women and
culture.
